The Chapel
The chapel in the park is a sacred space of intimate conversation with God. True to the ecumenical ideal which informs such works of his as Utrenya, The Black Mask, Song of Cherubim, A Polish Requiem, and Kaddish, the composer did not dedicate this place to any particular religion or denomination. Located on a small hill, the chapel is also an excellent vantage point dominating the area, and the place where the view corridors of the lower park, the Italian garden and the English landscape park converge. Chamber music concerts have also been held here in the most recent period.
